Common Questions When You Start

What is a Sensor?

A sensor monitors 1 application from one site emulating an end-user to give you the end-user perspective of different services. Exoprise offers more than 50 different sensor types, and more are under development all the time. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Ask us about it.

What is a Private Site?

A Private Site is a Windows® service that runs on any of your computers or Virtual Machines. Deploy a Private Site then configure sensors for the site. Private Sites run from behind your firewall on your computers for monitoring the end-user experience from your environment. You can also think of a Private Site as an agent.

What is a Public Site?

CloudReady Public Sites are managed by Exoprise at various locations throughout the world and are great for comparing against internal LAN/WAN conditions. Public Sites are also important for monitoring and measuring end-user experience from outside the corporate LAN/MPLS/WAN. Read more about Public and Private sites.

What is the Crowd?

For the same set of services and applications, we anonymously aggregate most metrics so you can benchmark your environment versus the aggregate. We call it the “crowd”. Its very helpful in that it can give you immediate clues about your environment versus others.

Can I pay for the service online?

Absolutely. If you don’t wish to speak to anyone, you can subscribe directly from within the service. Just choose how you want to pay (annually or monthly) and the quantity of sensors you want to buy. Pricing starts at $100/sensor on cancel-any-time plans using any credit card.

Are there volume and term discounts available?

Yes. If you need more than 25 sensors or are interested in a subscription longer than one year, request a custom quote for special pricing and ongoing promotions.

Is Exoprise Secure?

From the beginning, the Exoprise platform was designed to be easy to use AND extremely secure. All communications are HMAC encoded over SSL using a private key(s) that is locked to the installation. All sensor configurations are encrypted with site specific public-private key pairs. All components are dual-signed Authenticode and PKI. Exoprise operations are maintained at the highest standard to ensure the integrity and security of our customer’s data. Read more about our security.
